Hair Stylist Website Design – Styled by Allesse

Hair Stylist Website Design – Styled by Allesse

Styled by Allesse is a hairstyling business dedicated to making little girls feel like princesses through creative and beautiful hairstyles. With a background in hair styling through East Kent College (EKC) and over seven years working in childcare, Allesse discovered her passion for styling while working at a nursery.

Creating braids, twists and sparkling hairstyles for children quickly became something she loved doing, and Styled by Allesse was created to bring that passion to a wider audience.

To help launch the business, I designed the logo, brand identity and website, creating a simple but elegant platform where parents can learn about the services and book appointments online.

The website can be viewed at:
styledbyallesse.co.uk

The project began with the creation of the Styled by Allesse logo and branding. Because the business focuses on young clients and special occasions, the branding needed to feel:

  • Friendly
  • Elegant
  • Playful
  • Suitable for a children’s styling business

The visual identity was designed to reflect the idea of making every child feel special, confident and glamorous.

The logo and colour palette provide a soft, welcoming look while still feeling professional enough to represent the business as it grows.

A Website Built Using “Website in a Day”

This project was developed using my Website in a Day service, which is designed for small businesses and start‑ups that need a professional website quickly and affordably.

The concept behind this service is simple:
By working closely with the business owner during a single day of development, the website can be designed, built and launched within a very short timeframe.

For many service‑based businesses, a simple and well‑structured website is often all that is required to start generating enquiries and bookings.

One‑Page Website Design

The Styled by Allesse website uses a single‑page layout with navigable sections, allowing visitors to smoothly scroll through the different parts of the site.

This style of website is particularly effective for small businesses because it keeps everything clear and easy to navigate.

Sections on the page include:

  • About the stylist
  • Hairstyling services
  • Example styles and inspiration
  • Online booking
  • Contact information

Visitors can use the navigation menu to jump directly to each section of the page.

Online Booking System

A key feature of the website is the online booking system, which allows parents to easily schedule appointments.

This makes it much easier for customers to book styling sessions without needing to send messages back and forth to confirm availability.

The booking system helps streamline the process by allowing clients to:

  • Select available time slots
  • Book appointments online
  • Manage their bookings easily

For small service businesses, this type of functionality can significantly improve efficiency while providing a better customer experience.

A Website Designed for a Growing Business

The Styled by Allesse website provides a strong online foundation for the business as it grows.

By combining:

  • Custom branding
  • A professional website
  • Online booking functionality

The platform helps introduce the business to new customers while making it easy for existing clients to schedule appointments.

For this project I was responsible for:

Mechanic Website Design – Classic Mechanic

Mechanic Website Design – Classic Mechanic

Classic Mechanic is a specialist classic car restoration business run by Glen Woolway. After spending decades working in the automotive industry, Glen decided that as he approached retirement he wanted to focus purely on the type of work he was most passionate about – restoring classic cars.

To help launch the new venture we created a simple, affordable website design for a mechanic, designed specifically to promote Glen’s classic car restoration services and generate enquiries from enthusiasts.

Despite being a relatively simple website, it has proven extremely successful and now generates so much work that Glen regularly has to turn new enquiries away.

From Automotive Career to Classic Car Restoration

Glen Woolway has been involved in the automotive trade since the age of 14, starting out as a pump attendant at a garage in Wateringbury, Kent.

Over the years he built a successful career within the motor industry, eventually finishing his corporate career working with Mazda. However, with retirement approaching he decided it was time to focus on something closer to his heart – working on classic cars.

Classic Mechanic was created to allow Glen to continue working in the industry he loves while specialising in the restoration and maintenance of classic vehicles.

One of the cars closely associated with the business is Glen’s 1957 Ford 100E Escort Estate, which is an extremely rare classic vehicle. The car was even featured in Classic Ford Magazine in 2012, highlighting both the rarity of the vehicle and the quality of restoration work involved.

Built Using Our “Website in a Day” Service

The Classic Mechanic website was created using our Website in a Day service, which is designed to help small service‑based businesses launch a professional website quickly and affordably.

Many start‑ups and sole traders do not need a large multi‑page website when they first begin trading. Instead, they need a simple, well‑structured website that clearly explains their services and makes it easy for customers to get in touch.

With this service we spend a day working closely with the business owner to plan the structure, content and layout of the website before building and launching the site the next day.

This approach allows businesses to get online quickly and start generating enquiries without the delays that often come with larger website development projects.

One‑Page Website Design for a Service Business

For this project we created a single page website with navigatable sections, allowing visitors to easily move through the different areas of the site.

Instead of loading multiple pages, the navigation links smoothly scroll to each section of the website.

The website includes sections for:

  • Information about Glen and his experience
  • Classic car restoration services
  • Example restoration projects
  • Contact information for enquiries

This style of website works particularly well for service‑based businesses where the main goal is to generate enquiries rather than publish large amounts of content.

As part of the project we also created the Classic Mechanic logo.

The design was inspired by the traditional sign writing on Glen’s wife’s van, helping create a brand identity that reflected the classic automotive theme of the business.

This branding is now used across the website and other materials to give the business a consistent and recognisable visual identity.

Showcasing Restoration Projects

Although the website is primarily a single page design, we also created portfolio pages so that Glen could showcase examples of the restoration work he carries out.

These pages allow potential customers to see the quality of previous projects and the types of classic vehicles Glen works on.

For specialist automotive businesses, showing previous work is extremely important as it builds trust and confidence with potential customers.

Why One‑Page Websites Work Well for Small Businesses

For many small businesses, particularly trades and specialist services, a one‑page website can be an ideal starting point.

Instead of spreading information across multiple pages, everything is presented in a clear layout that is easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile devices.

Benefits include:

  • Faster development time
  • Lower development costs
  • Simple navigation for visitors
  • Clear calls to action for enquiries

This approach works particularly well for mechanics, tradespeople and specialist service providers who need a professional website but do not require a large or complex platform.

From Retirement Project to Fully Booked Workshop

The goal of the Classic Mechanic website was simply to create a professional online presence for a small start‑up business.

However, the website has proven to be far more successful than expected. Thanks to strong online visibility and interest from classic car enthusiasts, the site now generates more work than Glen can comfortably take on during retirement.

In fact, the business now produces more income than his previous role as a garage director, demonstrating the impact a well‑designed website can have for a specialist service business.
