Motorsport Website Design – Gigglepin Racing

Gigglepin Racing is the competitive motorsport arm of Gigglepin 4×4, competing in extreme off‑road events and winch challenges across the UK and internationally. The racing team plays an important role in showcasing the performance and reliability of Gigglepin products in real‑world competition environments.

While working at Gigglepin 4×4, I was responsible for the redesign of the Gigglepin Racing website, transforming it from a site focused on sponsored drivers into a platform that highlighted the Gigglepin race team, vehicles and sponsors.

The goal was to create a website that could promote the team, showcase sponsors and keep fans updated with race results and event coverage.

The Challenge – Refocusing the Racing Website

The original website primarily focused on Gigglepin sponsored drivers, featuring information about various competitors and their vehicles.

As the direction of the racing programme evolved, the focus shifted toward promoting the Gigglepin race team itself, along with the sponsors that supported the team.

This required a complete redesign of the website structure to better highlight:

  • The Gigglepin race vehicles
  • Team race calendar and upcoming events
  • Sponsoring brands
  • Race news and updates

Website Redesign Using Wix

The website was rebuilt using the Wix website platform, which allowed us to create a visually engaging website that could easily be updated with race news and event information.

The design focused on strong visual content, reflecting the high‑energy nature of off‑road motorsport.

Key improvements included:

Promoting Sponsors

Sponsors play an essential role in motorsport, helping teams compete at the highest level.

The redesigned website included dedicated sections to highlight and promote the brands that supported Gigglepin Racing, with links to sponsor websites and branding integrated throughout the site.

This provides sponsors with additional exposure while strengthening the relationship between the racing team and the businesses supporting it.

Motorsport is a highly visual sport, so photography played a major role in the design of the website.
