Website Domain – This is the name of your website e.g. scorpionprint.co.uk, there are many extensions available now which makes finding the perfect name easy. Extensions include .co.uk .uk .com .eu .tv. Domain names are usually bought for use for a 2-year period, after this time they must be renewed. These must be paid for upfront and range in price dependant on the extension. Our prices are based on .co.uk domain names, any difference in cost will be added to your final invoice.
Website Hosting – For websites to run they must be stored somewhere, we store our sites on a webserver. Think of it a bit like storing a picture on a USB stick, when someone wants to view your website they type in your website address which is the link to where it is stored on the USB stick and then they are able to view it. To run our websites, we also need a special program called PHP and a database called MySQL, this also needs to be hosted on the server.
PHP – The program and code we use to access the database and display your website.
MySQL – The database we use to store all your websites data including customer order details.
CMS – Content Management System, the platform we use is called WordPress. A CMS allows a user to easily modify and create content without needing to go to the website designer every time. This would allow a staff member to add new products, create blog posts and edit content. It also allows customer registration to process orders and view their account details and invoices.
Email – Our packages allow up to 50 personalised email addresses, this means that you can have email addresses that match your website name e.g. yourname@yourwebsite.co.uk. Email boxes are limited to 2GB but you can set these up to work with Outlook and Mail so this is not an issue. Our email has basic anti-spam and virus detection already included
Customised Templates – We use templates to help us start with the layout of your site, these templates may vary dependant on the type of business that you run, the license for the template is included in the set-up fee. The best thing about this system is as web standards change it is easy to buy and convert your current website to fit a new up to date template.
Personalised Login & Dashboard – We can customise your login screen with your own graphics including logo, background imagery and branding colours.
Photography – We include customised photography to replace any header images or other areas of the template which include stock imagery, we do not include the cost of materials for set creation or models. We believe that customised imagery will help you stand out from the competition and will always be more relevant  to your business than stock. This is included for the first 5 pages of your website. We include staff headshots for up to 5 staff members which can be used on the website, LinkedIn, in your Annual Review or wherever else you may need to use them. For E-Commerce sites we include 25 packshots to get you started, these are based on a per shot basis not per product basis e.g. if you need 3 angles of one product this will be classed as 3 packshots not one. SEO Tools – With the set-up of your website we will make sure that you are registered on all the tools you need such as Google Webmaster (this allows us to see any potential bugs), that you have a Site Map (a searchable map available to search engines to easily list your website)  in place, Apple Touch icons (your logo in the correct format to appear when your site is bookmarked)  are available and a Favicon (the little symbol on the website tab that relates to your brand). We will install a plugin called Yoast SEO which will make it easy for you to SEO the rest of your site and products yourself.
121 Training – A half-day session will be spent with one staff member to teach them how to use the backend of the website. If group training is needed or additional training time this can be arranged at an additional cost.
WooCommerce – This is the platform we use to create your online shop, we will help you link this to your PayPal account to receive payment. There are various other forms of payment available that we can also link to.
